NJ Dining Events: Italian Festivals

It’s that time of the year again, where the local Italian-American community in many of the Northern NJ towns serve up Sausage and Peppers, Calzones, Zeppoles, and all kinds of great festival food.

Yesterday I went to the Feast of St Joseph in Lodi — it runs from August 31 to September 2nd (so you still have all day today to go see it). Next weekend similar festivals are occurring in Elmwood Park (Our Lady of Porto Salvo 973/797-1789), Garfield (St. Ciro, 973/772-2295) and also in Hoboken.

Mmmm, Vorrei quello che stanno mangiando loro ~

There’s an Italian Festival coming up soon in Seattle… Isn’t there a famous Italian Festival in late September in NYC?
