Cinco de Mayo May Have Come and Gone But Margaritas are Forever


Did any of you celebrate Cinco de Mayo this weekend with some of our Top Five? If not- the warmer summer days ahead offer plenty of opportunities for leisurely meals outside at Taqueria Autentica and margaritas in the back yard- try our slimmed down recipe below and sip to your heart’s content!

Contrary to popular belief, Cinco de Mayo is not Mexican Independence Day (that’s September 16th– not even close!).  It’s actually the celebration of the Mexican army’s victory over French forces on May 5th, 1862, and also an all around celebration of Mexican heritage and culture.
