Rally for a Cure 2008

by Rachel Nash Perlow

I help out every year with Brooklake Country Club Women’s Association annual Breast Cancer “Rally for a Cure” and “Play for P.I.N.K.” golf tournament and fund raiser luncheon. This year it is to be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. This program has raised awareness of breast cancer and taken the life-saving message of early detection to hundreds of thousands of women.

Last year our event rose over $30,000. All monies collected through tournament fees and our raffle and silent auction will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Foundation and the Play for P.I.N.K. (Prevention, Immediate Diagnosis, New Technology, and Knowledge) Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Jason wanted to offer the opportunity for New Jersey and New York area restaurants and businesses to donate Gift Certificates or Gift Baskets with their products as raffle prizes on that day. Particularly special Items would be made part of the Silent Auction. Any gift you donate as a prize for that day would be greatly appreciated. Keep in mind that the women who attend this event can and do shop and dine throughout NJ and NYC, so this is an excellent marketing opportunity for your business as well.
