One of my favorite stops in Chinatown is New Beef King, perhaps the ultimate purveyor of Beef Jerky in New York City. Sure, there are other jerky shops in Chinatown, but New Beef King is such a cute little store, and its clean, and the people who run it are really nice. And its conveniently located right next to Shanghai restaurant, where you can get some pretty damned good Xiao Long Bao dumplings.

This is literally the size of the storefront. Its tight, and really only about 2 or 3 people can fit in there at a time.

Here’s the “Dry” jerky display case — my favorites are the Spicy Beef, Oyster Flavored Beef, and the Spicy Pork. Heck, they’re all good. They also have a “Juicy” jerky case which has the same flavors but there’s more of the marinade on it and the meat isn’t as dried .
They’ve also got beef chunks. The curry beef is the shizznit.
Here your order is weighed.
