Although Rachel and I are both Jewish, we consider ourselves conniseurs of Christmas Lights. Every year, we drive around and critique the tastefulness (or lack of taste) of our neighbors in the surrounding towns. Sort of like the Fashion Police, but for Christmas Lights instead. Over the years, we’ve seen some pretty serious (and gawdy) displays in Northern NJ.
This year, I’m going to try something new — thru the rest of the holiday season, I’m going to show you the best (and worst) of the Christmas light displays in my area that I come across, and I’d like you to email me photos (to jperlowATgmailDOTcom) of the ones in your area that you find the most impressive, or even the most garish. If I like them (or are even severely appalled by them) I’ll feature them on the site. Here’s a few starters:

Lighted tree, Palisades Ave, Englewood NJ
